This is another tip that seems unimportant on the large scheme of selling your home. While a professional cleaner is not maybe necessary, certainly a good job with some windex will make another difference to the “oh so important” good first impression. Bright clean windows allow a prospective buyer to look outside and enjoy the beauty of the grounds surrounding the home, as well as allow more light inside. A clouded or dirty window only makes a home feel smaller and cramped, dirty.
I was reminded of this first hand today at a showing. Description, on the MLS listing, spoke of recent major remodel along with new floor coatings so we could only look in from the outside window. Lots of money and time had been spent on the inside of this home yet the sliding glass doors were dirty and coated with that white chalky film that is impossible to see thru. How many dollars were spent, on upgrades, and yet the prospective buyers lost all interest because of dirty sliding glass windows?
