Sandpoint Monday Night Movie Review – ‘The Longest Ride’
Bonner’s Mall Theaters in Ponderay Idaho is quite surprising in the movies it brings in. Sitting at the east end of the mall the Marque does not boast Movie Titles any more. Mainly just to go to Reel.net for movie information and times. That was always a disappointment to me when they discontinued the Movie Titles outside. Something about the movie names on the Marque that I found to be part of the movie experience. With the location and the outside look you would expect 6 month old titles. Not the case.
Today they opened with ‘Get Hard’, ‘Insurgent’, ‘Fast and Furious 7’, ‘Home-3D’, ‘Cinderella’, and my choice tonight “The Longest Ride”
The movie wonderfully wove many types of scenes. Past, present, action, love stories, laughs (not slap stick), and heavy emotions. This movie made me ache for a time past. Made me feel the passion and yearning of that first special kiss. The one that you yearn for and at the same time afraid to take a chance on. It made me look back on mistakes and selfishness. I also was able to smile at like situations I am sure we have all experienced. I am a dreamer, and while doubtful at best, I left the theater wanting to feel that all consuming love of someone that will, maybe, take my breath away one last time. I also left feeling grateful for having felt that true love one time and knowing how genuinely special it is.
Grab some popcorn and enjoy this movie at the theater. By yourself or with a special someone will not matter. You will enjoy!
