Sandpoint Idaho’s Long Bridge
Sandpoint Idaho’s Long Bridge is unique in so many ways. The views it offers every day are always varied and incredible. The picture is as driving north coming into Sandpoint, Idaho, from Sagle Idaho, which are the two cities the bridge connects.
One mile distant the Long Bridge is the official separation of Lake Pend Oreille and the Pend Oreille River. From Sandpoints northern most portion, of the bridge, it is 47 miles to Coeur D’Alene Idaho. Heading north 30 miles brings you to Bonners Ferry Idaho and another 35 north beyond Bonners Ferry is the Canadian Border.
Whether walking on the sandy shelf before the actual bridge, dog beach, the walking bridge adjacent to the vehicles, you will never hurt for something to look at.
