Important for Agents as well – Working with the right Agent !

As a Buyer, or Seller, of Real Estate the importance of a good agent working for you is paramount.  It is no less important to the Realtor® themselves.  While a Real Estate agent seldom has the luxury of deciding who they work with, they will on occasion co-list with another agent in hopes of better serving the needs of everyone involved.

Sandpoint Title with Wes JonesIn doing so they are committed to the level of service, ethics, and desires of the other agent. Each agents work reflecting upon the other.  Communication, between agents, is imperative or they risk giving different information to the client who is looking to the agents for professional direction.  Or they may start moving, unintentionally, in separate directions on what they feel best for the client.  Communication…sound like something you have heard the importance of before?

Trust is yet another factor important to the successful co-list transaction.  An agent must feel completely confident in the other agents ability to remain confident and strong during those difficult times that will eventually arise in most every closing process.  To know that you are not going to get thrown under the preverbial ‘bus’ to protect the others standing.  And they must feel the same of you.

Sandpoint Title Closing Table with Wes JonesI was fortunate in recently completing a transaction with Wes Jones of Keller Williams Coeur D’Alene.  He asked me to work with him on a listing.  He felt the sellers home would receive better exposure with my additional marketing.  From the start I realized I was working with a special agent.  Professional, desire to work, communication beyond expectations, never afraid to ask questions, always with the clients best interest at heart.

As agents we all have experienced the feeling of not doing enough.  This unfortunately was one of those transactions for me.  Circumstances always seemed to have Wes, with his wife/partner handling most of the work.  While not something any of us do purposely it will happen from time to time.  In this case it fell on Wes’s back.  Again his expertise, communication constantly kept me in the loop.  There was absolutely nothing about Wes Jones’ work ethics that failed to exceed my expectations and make me think of ways to improve myself.

The pictures of Wes, in the suit, were yet another ‘above expectations’ moment.  This is rarely seen in North Idaho whether at a closing or not.  I did have to rib him about it a bit.  On Wes it fit.

Sandpoint Title Closing with Teresa Wes Tom Ketty A sincere thank you to Wes, and his wife Teresa, for the special experience.  I trust in the near future you are able to enjoy the other side of a transaction such as this.

As a prospective buyer or seller your choice in a Realtor® is extremely important. Be sure you ask questions and are happy with answers given prior to deciding. Your choice is a huge investment in your future.
