From early days to when Mom and Dad would go to the beaches with me, and turn my crib upside down for shade, till my late 20’s I visited or lived Orange County Beaches of Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and more.
Before and after serving in the Navy I worked in the printing industry, both production and sales. Also did some work with Firestone Tire, building tires for a short while.
Love of the ocean and body surfing, I was never without trunks, towel and fins, just in case a big swell should come in unexpectedly. ‘The Wedge’ in Newport Beach being preferred.
Moving North to San Fernando Valley
Moving north and a bit inland also brought a new career field in paving and parking lot maintenance. After working for a company and learning the trade I started my own paving company. From a small mini truck I grew the company to a couple of asphalt dump trucks, seal coat tank, and stripping equipment.
Although successful I could see times ahead would become more difficult for a small business. The crowds were also growing faster than ever before. Freeway traffic often found to be stopped and moving nowhere. Not being one for crowds, it was time to move again.
Final Move North, before Idaho, was to Lake Tahoe, Truckee California area.
This move involved many changes for me personally and business wise. I started working at a Ski Resort as a snow maker. That’s right as a snow maker…pretty cool huh? The mountain grew on me to the point of having the same pull the ocean always has, and still does. I became manager for Transportation Department and Parking.
I was offered an opportunity at a large paving company and with much difficulty made the move to work as roller man, and future foreman, for paving company of streets and highways.
With my former wife, met her in Tahoe, being from Montana I again found myself looking north for another move.
Sandpoint Idaho offered all the beauty, water, recreation of Lake Tahoe region along with much smaller population.
I also knew that I wanted to start another career that would satisfy my desire to continue learning as well as helping other people. I worked hard to get my Real Estate License before leaving California.
Sandpoint, Idaho
Once having arrived to Sandpoint Idaho area I worked hard in establishing myself as a Real Estate agent. As with past career fields I found hard work and educating myself paved the way for many successes with Real Estate. I also found that while all transactions hold a little something different, they also have a single important thread, that is missed by many.
Communication. I strive daily to continue with clear, concise, communication with everyone through out any transaction. If you read my testimonials I believe you will find communication as a common thread with my reviews and testimonials.
I have found a very comfortable home in Keller Williams Realty. The culture pinpoints the same values I considered important when beginning a career in Real Estate. Keller Williams stresses the importance of education and has been named #1 in company training, not just in Real Estate but all companies. Quite a statement. Over 80% of my business is through referral which speaks directly to the fact that I treat every client as though they are the only one I have.
